Nimyra will be skittish talking about the Bozja Incident and her birth family and injury, and if pressed for more details is likely to lash out with her cane or sic Selene upon you. As far as she and anyone else are concerned, her family is Mircea and Selene alone.
RELATIONS
Mircea Angelosch | Mentor
A wandering Scholar, Hrothgar of the Lost. Tall, burly, boisterous, very un-healerlike and also extremely scholarly. Mircea is a researcher of Nym and its ancient civilizations.
Selene | Fairy
Best friend, battle partner and service fairy.
Family | Lost
Child of village Queen Vojka and her husband Vrazamir Avojka.
EARLY LIFE
Born to a family of cloth merchants in a small village on the outskirts of Bozja Citadel. Her earliest years were spent in her family shop, helping with sales and customers and learning salescraft, but her heart yearned for more adventure, more interesting things to do with her brain and creativity. To this effect, she began a weaving apprenticeship which was abruptly cut short by the Bozja Incident, which destroyed her village and caused devastating damage even as far away as where she was apprenticed.
The weaving shed where she was working that day collapsed due to the explosion and Nimyra was caught in it, her hip, thigh and tail being crushed under lumps of stone.
RECOVERY
She was saved from the debris by a wandering Scholar, Mircea Angelosch, who took the young Nimyra with her when she was stable - all of her family and home had been destroyed, she had no home to return to.
Mircea became Nimyra's mentor in the lost arts of the Nymian Marines, and as she couldn't pursue her weaving trade due to her leg, she threw herself into learning to be a tactical combat medic, working with Selene until they became an efficient team.
She travelled Ilsabard alongside Mircea and Selene, making their living by selling their Scholar skills to the Bozjan Resistance when they were near, but also to any in need, Garleans included, as both of them are too soft-hearted to deny aid to those injured or in need of aid.
TRAVEL
After enough time and distance had passed since the accident, Nimyra felt finally able to return to her first love - weaving. She said goodbye to Mircea in Radz-at-Han and took up an apprenticeship, then finally graduating to become a full-fledged tailor.
However, unfortunately her years travelling as a nomad with Mircea instilled in her a deep wanderlust, and so she took up her travels once more, selling her skills as a Scholar and a tailor and travelling between cities and villages famed for their textiles. She'd spend time there continuing her studies, earning some hard gil, then moving on again, making her name as a tailor of exquisite clothing until she found herself in Mist with the good fortune to come across a medium plot for sale. And so Fortuna Fashions was created as a permanent home for herself, but also as her base of operations for all her weaving practice.
FORTUNA FASHIONS
Her current habit is to spend a period of time in residence at Fortuna Fashions, weaving and making clothing as though a woman possessed, and then to take an even longer sabbatical to wander, leaving the shop in the capable hands of her staff.
Her next stop: Ishgard, where she's heard that nobles have an interesting way of dressing, and where she has ideas of combining her traditional Bozjan heavy, waterproof textile heritage with the colourful, complex weaves of Radz-at-Han, to try and win herself more business and rich clients.
